AFAIK, only the US '14s didn't have a receiver for the tow hook from the factory.

 

Early on I bought one for my 2016 Z06 from my dealer. About $70. Never have had to use it. --Bob

 

Does the receiver have a plug/cover ? Looking through the grill, I don't see an opening for it.

 

Here is a quick shot of my 2019 1LT, showing the receiver behind the grill on the right side.
I purchased a previously owned tow hook from someone on one of the forums, went to try and fit it, and looked like the grill would be damaged if I tried, so it is in the cubby in the back just in case some sort of emergency occurs and I need to chance sacrificing the grill.

 

The grill section where the receiver opening is snaps on and off but because that that hole opening is covered makes me ask the question what year is your car as 2014’s early 2015’s didn’t have the front tow hook receiver. Z51 added the tow hook receivers during the 2015 MY on about the 12-1-14 production date.

This is what it should look like compared to what yours looks like unless the cover pops out?

I have a 2016 Z06. I often winch it on my trailer using the front tow hook. It has worked very well with no damage to the grill. I have a low front splitter and it would be difficult to winch it any other way. The trailer I use is a Futura Sport model.

If I recall correctly 2014’s early 2015’s didn’t have the front tow hook receiver. Z51 added the tow hook receivers during the 2015 MY on about the 12-1-14 production date. I’m sure you will come across the exact yr/date I’m referencing or I’m sure someone would verify or correct my recollection.

If you have the receiver (Z51's/Z06/GS), you must purchase the hook from GM. Doesn't come with the car. Take a look at the foam cover over your battery which is the place for the hook, but no hook so you have to purchase one.

 

I also will add that Corvette receivers are needed for C7 models built before 12/14/14 that lack a receiver slot from factory.

My 2015 & 2019 Z51s both had tow hook receivers front and rear.

 

Your car has receivers behind covers front and rear. The front one is behind the grill. The rear one is behind a small square cover on the lower left fascia. Remove it with a plastic trim tool you can buy at Amazon.

I looked at mine looks like it is removable but when I tried to gently push on it it did not budget.

 

So, looking at the picture there appear to be two tabs. If the tabs are at the top I would try pushing up with my fingers and then pulling outwards to remove it.

A friend mentioned that he just saw on Facebook and I don't know how true this is but it was said that for whatever reason the coupes did not come with tow hook openings but the verts did... True/Not True "I don't know but was interesting comment" that he showed me!

 

It came standard on my 16 Z06 . I ordered it early and it was not a item that could be ordered. Never heard that before and this topic comes up every once in a while on forums.

 

Neither my 2014 nor my 2018 C7s have tow hook receivers. Unless you are planning on racing your C7 on a sanctioned track that requires a tow hook and/or you only want it for appearance purposes you might want to forget about adding the necessary receivers, etc. If you search us out Search Community function at the top of every page, you will find a lot of posts regarding tow hooks (or the lack of). Many commercial tow truck companies will NOT use a tow hook you have added because of their liability.

I’m not seeing the tow hook receiver on my 2016 1lt either. I see the indented circle but it’s solid with no threads

 

My 2017 had covers on the factory grill.
