So as I drive around and spot other Corvettes, I notice most of the owners appear to be older than say a Camaro or other sport car owner. This got me thinking about what the average age of the owners on here. (This is just my general observation in my area.)
So if you want, post your age and later I will figure out the average.

I'll start with my Age: 67

Was 72 last week, and at my annual physical this week, my doc said that my goal of buying by C11 at 100 years old via Museum Delivery, driving it home to the Pacific Northwest was still on schedule. Always nice to get affirming news.

I'm 59 and soon turning 60, but here is my take.

When I am out and about, young kids come up to the car with longing and awe. They want me to fire up my "race car". I have a Magna Flow exhaust and it virtually explodes at start up. I usually let them push the auto start just to watch their faces as they ignite my rocket.

Old dudes come up and walk the car and they have longing and awe. But unlike the kids who think about what could be, old guys think about what was. It takes them to a time when they were young and liked to go fast. Way before they gave up their cherished ride for a mini-van.
I think for our group, we have chosen a Vette because we are not moved by Porsche, Lambo or Ferrari's because we know our cars are as powerful, fast and handle as well at 1/2 the price. We are not into flexing, we are into performance and value. We also like to drive our cars and not have to have a mechanic on staff. I think this is why we skew to being older. We just know better!

58. First one in 86. She was a 86 and a 1/2. Aluminum heads. Since 86, we’ve only been without a Corvette only two years. 2014, got us going again. Bought and sold a Z 51. Then the 16 Z06. Then we went a little crazy with the 78 pace car, and an 89 convertible. The hook is all the way through my cheek! Truly is a sickness. But it’s a good sick!

54...yes, I noticed that the average owner in my area is probably 65 ish. Really gets my attention when I see someone clearly younger than 50 driving one because it is so rare. I almost did not get one because of perception others have of vette owners. Came from a 911S, just could not beat the value of a vette. Now quality in fit and finish compared to the others....well thats an entirely different story. And don't get me started about how you are treated at a Chevy dealer vs. a Porsche, MB, BMW, etc. dealer. Red headed step child!
