Not a watch person, can't stand anything on my wrists. Last time I wore a watch, last day of work before retirement, 31 Dec '09. Got a nice watch for retirement, still in the box. Last watches I did wear were the Sportmen's Guide cheapie 2/$15 nylon band 24 hr face. Chucked them the same day. :)

Norm, I stopped wearing my watch upon retirement from the Corps.

Here is my Tag Heuer with Red highlights. I had the watch before my torch red vette though.

Nothing wrong with going out and getting a car to match your Tag Heuer! :)

Here's Beloved Spouse's fave (for now):

I know, you watch guys (including my Beloved Spouse) are always on the lookout for your next one!
Myself, I wear a really battered Polar F-11. Brownie points to anyone who knows what that looks like.

Very nice JLC!
Thanks! I gave to him for 25th wedding anniversary. It's kinda rare apparently, and so is he . . .:)
I'm impressed you knew it was JLC! I didn't know a thing about that company until I had to obtain it, but can be excused since I'm not a watch guy, right?

Beloved Spouse was impressed with your knowledge as well. . . he wonders what is in your collection and if you're on the watch forum too? I told him likely you were too busy moderating SRF, haha!

You are right! SRF has taken me away from TRF but I pop in from time-to-time. I do not have a watch collection but I do like to learn about watches. For example, the history of the JLC Reverso is really interesting. A group of Polo players were getting the crystals smashed on their wrist watches. So, they reached out to a local watch dealer for a solution. This was back in the 1930's and the solution was to reverse the watch face and protect the crystal. The case back would often be engraved with the Polo player's team crest. To achieve this functionality and also maintain a thin case was a huge engineering achievement in the 1930's.
