Hello all, need some help, I’ve had to change the battery in my 2014 C7 for the first time. I went with the Optima Yellow top designed for the C7. Change out went smoothly then (here’s where I need help) upon restart. The car cranked (for what seemed like 12 to 15 seconds) then fired and died. (I’ve had the new battery load tested; it’s good, had it in an optima 400 charger for days & says 100%) Now when I press the start button with my foot on the brake to start the car you can hear a light clicking intermittently that sounds like the starter and the engine light flashes on the dash with these clicks but she will not crank, or start now. I am to the point I think the starter is locked up/bound up and done. I’ve also tried the post where you can hold the start stop button for 15 seconds to clear everything with no luck and changed the key fob batteries, checked all fuses related to the starter that I can find (all good) Anyone have any ideas…
Also the optima charger says the battery is at 13 volts DC and 4 amps; should it be displaying more than 4 amps?
I’m lost at this point.
