But you might think you have a "broken" car. A few things on the car are normal but the sales guy did not tell you. If you feel or see the following, they are NORMAL and part of the C7 experience. Many other threads here on WHY it is this way, this is just a list:

1.Tires/front end chatter/clunk on full lock slow turns
2.The motor will turn a few revs before lighting up on start ( engine pressurizing fuel system)
3. Oil may read different levels on non z51 -either side of dipstick due to angle.. Take the average of both sides.
4. The trunk will be hard to close when new, many report it gets better with mileage, some do not. 16’s do not have this problem.
5. when filling up with fuel or unlocking the driver door, you will hear a few clicks near the fuel door, more than one...
6. A minor amt of vibration felt thru the stick shifter is normal.
7. The indentation in the styrofoam batt cover is for a euro tow eye, nothing in this slot for US cars.
8. The first 20%-30% of the throttle response is very damped (numb), especially in Wet, Eco and Tour modes compared to older Vettes and other brands.
9. Upon full acceleration of a automatic, when shifting, it will backfire "bark", due to computer settings/ unburned fuel.
10. The direct injection makes the engine "tick" ...normal

Please feel free to add others to this thread, I will keep the list up to date...

Performance Algorithm Liftfoot is normal in automatic engines. While in Sport mode, you accelerate rapidly and then take your foot off of the pedal. The engine revs at high RPM's for a few seconds before it returns back to normal. Don't worry, your car is performing the way it was intended. You will see a message in the DIC stating "Performance Shift Active". You can easily get out of this mode and return to driving aggressively by clicking the right (+) paddle shifter.

Take your car into the dealer re the GPS. They have a fix. As to the fresh air being hot, ensure that your fan is running not off as well as your AC if you are running it that way and the recirc is also off. Should, at least in the start of the day when it is typically cooler in Florida run normal and not hot unless your Vette has been sitting in the sun.

It's normal for steam to come out of the hood vent when the coolant is hot, you're stopped, and it's raining.

The click heard when using the directional signals is synthetically created through the driver side radio speaker. I was surprised to read this in a post on the Cadillac Forum. This may be the case on all GM vehicles and not unique to the Stingray. The three vehicle sample in my garage all do this: 2013 Cadillac SRX, 2014 Stingray, and 2015 GMC Canyon.

Lived with my Z51 brake dust for 1 year. Two trips into town (~75 miles) and I had to clean my black wheels! If I let it go much longer besides looking bad it got harder to remove! Then I changed to CarboTech 1521 ceramic pads! Have had installed for 10 months. What a difference. 75 to 80% less dust and it comes off easy. Now typically cleaning the wheels when I wash the car! Stops even better when cold, IMO and very linear. Here is a PDF of my install: http://netwelding.com/Ceramic_Pads.pdf If you have a late 2014 or 2015 very easy pad removal-there is no double sided tape on the front pads to pistons. Just like I show for the rears, once the wheel is off the pads come out in minutes!

I would add that my Corvette savy dealer tells me that a Chev corporate tech claims that a certain amount of headlight internal fogging and moisture is considered normal.? Chev has recently returned an entire batch of headlight pods to there supplier due to leaky seals. My '15 shows fogging and even running drops of water after driving in rain or even washing during high humidity days. My dealer has obtained authorization to replace one of them at a time under warranty, but they are currently on back-order due to the above mentioned issue. Why they won't approve two at once is beyond me, as they clearly have an issue with moisture inside the pods.

Have some residue from earlier cosndensarion on both of my headlights, and know of more than a few other forum members who similalry have the same issue. Thankfully the residue is only seen at a limited, few angles.

As we know, headlight replacement involves front fascia removal too, and why I (and I know several others) have so far no done anything. Probably will have them replaced just before my three year warranty is up.

I always have my FOB in my pocket and notice that when I get out to put gas in the car, then get back in the car and shut the door I get an annoying multi chirp thing. I haven't figured out how to solve that one.

I believe what is going on is that since the door is open until you get back in the car to take off from the gas station you are getting a reminder that your key is still in the car. Since it doesn't realize that you are sitting in the car getting ready to drive off. Same action that takes place if you were to leave the second transponder in the car when traveling.

If you get out close the door and then get back into the car you probably wont get the triple chirp sound, just be sure to open the gas tank cover before it locks other wise you have to unlock the car.
