At the request of several of you... This will get all of the issues together in one location and allow other owners and would be owners to learn about the issues that owners are experiencing or discovering.

What's allowed:

Factual accounts of issues you encounter as a real owner of a real car. Provide as much detail, pictures, and documentation as you are able to talk about the issue.

Factual accounts or updates regarding resolution of issues that you or your dealer provided to solve a problem with your Stingray. If you solve a problem and post a separate update, please edit your original post that it was resolved and reference the post with the update if possible.

What's not allowed (This will be strictly enforced):

Anecdotal comments about first year models.
Comments about other model year Corvettes (even if they may relate to current equipment.)
Stories or issues you read about on other forums.
Posting about a problem "your friend" had with their car.
Posting that "your car is fine" or "I didn't have that problem."

The intent of this thread is to collect data and provide information for people who own a 2014 Corvette Stingray. Hopefully we will see both problems and resolutions and allow a place for folks to learn how to deal with issues that they encounter. If you can provide content information (equipment group, options, etc.) about your car that would be welcome. If you can provide photos of the issue or video of the behavior, that would be welcome. If are willing to post your VIN number, that would be helpful so that others with VIN's in a nearby range can relate.

Let's see if we can keep this thread on topic and make it a useful place for new and would be owners to learn what is going on.

So everything seemed perfect in my Z51 3LT convertible. 1300 miles now. Began noticing a lot of heat in the driver's footwell. AC is always on since I'm in Miami. Also seems like the climate control can't figure out what temperature I want the car to be. Any thoughts??

Your ECM's need the most recent reflash. Check with your dealer.
Ryan; Most issues we've seen are due to low voltages, I think what you are seeing is OK. What are you using to get those voltage readings and what are those readings when you are not having the "flicker"?

took delivery of my Z51 about a week ago. at about 350 miles. noticed two minor issues...wheel alignment slightly pull to the right on the fwy. and a minor paint defect...small bump on left side of the hood ( have to really look at it closely to see it). any remedy? both should be cover by warranty? and does anyone else have that same issues? thanks

I recently took mine in because of a slight pull to the right. Service department checked front end alignment and adjusted slightly but it was not really out of alignment. Service manager drove and felt it was resolved. My son-in-law went to pick up the car and stated it was still pulling to the right. So he took it back in and they rechecked the alignment and it was still aligned. So service manager felt it was a result of the tires really sticking to the road. Because of the the shape of the road it is causing a slight pull. The dealer had a new one on show room floor and took it out for drive to see how it responded and it did the same. Because I have not read much about it I felt I would comment here and hope that there would be others that have same issue and or suggestions to resolve the problem.

If it is the roads, then take it to other roads. Not ALL roads are going to cause it to pull right (some might not pull, some might pull left, some might pull right). Also, the dealer took one from the showroom floor out and it pulled right, or you took it out and it pulled right? Even if it did and you know it to be true, all that might say is some Covettes are coming from the factory pulling right. If that is the case, align them all.

Finally, I can't stand a car that is not very well aligned. When I have an alignment done, I tell them up front this is a big pet peeve of mine, and just because it is in the green when they are done it may not be good enough for me. I make sure they understand and agree before they work on a car for me. When they are done and I drive away, about 1/4 of the time I end up back at the shop 5-10 minutes later saying it is not good enough. I usuall then get a ride-along with the tech who did the alignment, show him what is happening, and then let him have a go of it again. Only once was it not perfect after the second try.

I have a Z51 Auto trans. Picked it up on Dec 24, have about 2200 miles on it now. Love the car. About several weeks ago, I noticed that from a cold start, I put it into Reverse to back out of my garage and nothing happened. Like it was in neutral. Let it warm up a bit and put it in reverse again, and it worked. It happened again a couple of weeks ago, same thing. Was in reverse and it wasn't moving. Gave it some gas and it made a "clunk" sounds like it went into gear and jumped into reverse. So for the past few weeks, I let the car warm up before backing out of my garage. Thought that was the issue. Today, when I went to back out of the garage, thought I warmed it up, but guess not. Same things happened in Reverse. So was curious, and tried putting it in Drive, and same thing, no movement, like it was in neutral. Put it in reverse and gave it some gas and it finally engaged "clunk" and backed up. Called my sales rep today and left a message. I'm going to call another dealership that is closer to home tomorrow and see if they can check it out. Anyone have this issue or know what's going on? Low transmission fluid?

Also, Tire temp always at warm. Even though it was really, really cold outside. It always seems to stay at warm. Do I need a reflash of some sort or sensors bad?

Thanks all!

Took delivery Saturday (3/1/14). Car has 33 miles on it. Transmission gone. Well not totally, but it won't move forward or reverse w/o going heavy on the throttle. Thumps into and out of gears (1st and 2nd). Managed to get her to the service bay and they couldn't figure out what it could be. Stuck brake? Tranny? 7 hours later they are "guessing" transmission. It limped around the service bay area about 4 times and they could not get it to move without going heavy on the throttle then it moved at a snails pace with engine revving. I ordered this car on Jun 18th and can't tell you the negative issues surrounding it. Build date: Jan 23rd. Dealer got it March 1st. I brought it home late afternoon March 1st. They said they'll probably need the car for 2 or 3 days. Also, the windshield needs to be replaced - defective, but that's minor compared to the transmission.

2LT, 6 speed paddle, Z51.

Service called and they are going to open up the trans on my C7 tomorrow. Not sure what they'll find, but they ordered a rental car for us. Gee, I wonder if it's a C7 rental? (grin). They are also not sure if they will be able to repair whatever they find, or if parts (trans) will have to come from Bowling Green.

Active Hatch Vent. My hatch has always required a big push to close. I just finished reading the Edsall book about the Stingray where they describe how the vent system works and I'm wondering if maybe something is wrong with mine. I'm wondering if anyone else on the forum has noticed this issue. My temporary fix is to leave the door ajar when I close the hatch to make it easier to close

Dealership said it's the Valve Body. Problem is they need a gasket and the gaskets are on back order. Could be a week to two weeks delay! If they had the gasket, the car could be finished in one day.

It sucks.

Just got back from visiting my C7 in the bay of the dealership. Got some neat photos and will try to post same. I expected to see a part - a steel part or some such thing - with a crack or break or issue. Instead, I saw what looked like a circuit board. That was the culprit! Saw the gasket that supposedly no body has in stock. I will try to post pix...

was it the separator plate, or one of the gaskets that are on each side of it that failed? were there check balls jammed in the holes of the separator plate? if so, there is a bigger issue at play, and hopefully they aren't just treating the symptom, rather than the cause.
