update on high jacking your color

 

Friends of ours fell in love with Lime Rock Green on a new StingRay, and their two year 1966 StingRay restoration is nearing completion in that color. Will post in our C2 section of our forum once it is completed.

Have very-local friends who have a 2015 LRG, and it is gorgeous! They picked it up NCM Museum Delivery, had a 2,500 mile flawless trip until, about 100 miles from home, a deer ran out and hit the front/front fender of the car. They were heartsick! A local painter did such a great job matching its paint that when I first saw the car, not knowing which fender had been hit, could not tell which one. The owner had to point it out -- and still could not tell where the re-painting started or stopped.

The highlights in the sun are truly fantastic. You lucky soul, beautiful.
Of course in St.George, Utah, you have lots of sun so you'll always be able to see that main colour. As I'm stuck here in cloudy Portland Oregon, it would have only appeared dark green for 9 months of the year. Hence I chose a different colour path (DSOM). But if I retire to St.George, I might be looking to repaint!

I am a fan of LRG. I picked my NRB beauty just a few months ago but there is just something about LRG - I think it wakes up the 12yo boy in me admiring a cool new Hot Wheels. As the song goes "I don't know why I like it, I just do". Enjoy, all you LRG owners! More pics please!

Chrome Rims and the Brownstone interior sweet

 

Yeah, my dealer here in Switzerland ordered it this way, and I wouldn't change anything. He said it would be "sehr edel" (very noble) and he was right. I've never had such a machine before.

 

I have never seen the brownstone interior before in person but I heard it is beautiful.

 

I don't know why Chevy dropped that color. I know it didn't sell well but boy it looks good. John

Thanks Rick. I measured over 30 inches on my deck...despite the national weather service saying it was officially less than two feet. The roads are still a mess - most two lane roads are 1.5 lanes at best. They don't have anywhere to put the snow. I am looking forward to that first spring drive with the roof off!

 

I know everyone loves the color of THEIR C7 the best, and mine is black so I'm supposed to favor it over all colors... but i can say without a doubt that Limerock Green is the nicest hue ever offered on a C7 to date.

 

I saw my first C7 in the wild in LRG. It made me buy a Z06. One of the first 10 LRG made. I agree with many of the great folks here. A stunning color! Looks incredible in direct sunlight.

70 SS454 Monte Carlo in lime rock green!

 

Still a beautiful color, no matter what car it's on.

 

Pfloydss, I knew that was going to be a stunning color choice for your Monte when you first started your project. Now you know it never ends, I'm still tweaking my 70 Camaro. I have to admit that my Camaro has been on the back burner since our C7 masterpiece arrived, and I'm adding some custom touches to Renee's SRT8 Challenger. Have a blast with your project!!
