I like it a lot! That one was a contender as well. I've been a Corvette lover since I was old enough to know about them. 1970-72 some where around there.I went old school and have this one on my car.

Just a thought. Before buying a $90 Carbon Fiber frame, bought a inexpensive plastic simulated CF one that had the same two part construction. With the location of the backup camera the fit was very tight! Decided it was hard to see it was carbon fiber and then saw the police were giving tickets if any part of any letter or number is even partially cover! That is the law in SC and it will cost $125 even if you come from out of state! Some other states have the same law. Below is what I finally bought, it's just an outside metal frame. Was going to spray it carbon flash but the original black powder coat is a good match. You can see the very small clearance with the camera even with this thin frame. What are you guys using? or, for a few dollars more, Amazon.com: Slim Stainless Steel License Plate Frame Black, 2 Holes: AutomotiveJerry U said:Hi, Got mine from Advanced Auto. It was only about $8 as I recall.Dennis said:Jerry - great frame; I want one. Where can I find it?
The Vette only has two mounting holes so to be able to use 4 caps (painted mine as you saw) I put some small bolts on from behind to hold the plastic retainer that come with the caps. You can buy black or chrome, they are a few dollars.
That frame looks fine. However the metal one I purchased from Advanced Auto actually has a full back, that is why you don't see any mounting tabs. The retaining screws go first through the plate, then the plate holder that just has a full perimeter raised ridge edge. The bottom two holes in the frame and plate are were I put the small screws through the back to retain the plastic cap retainers. The colors of the SC custom plate did not look good with the black or chrome caps available so painted them! Just didn't like seeing the black frame through the SC plate holes! Both would look fine.or, for a few dollars more, Amazon.com: Slim Stainless Steel License Plate Frame Black, 2 Holes: Automotive
That is a pretty broad question. No doubt some DMV have laws on the books to allow ticketing if certain informational areas (eg, inspection or renewal sticker) is covered and some police may enforce under certain circumstances (similarly to front license plate requirements).I've heard rumors that certain states will ticket drivers if the plate bracket covers up information on the plate. Is there any truth to this?
Maryland has been known to ticket drivers with dealer tag framesI've heard rumors that certain states will ticket drivers if the plate bracket covers up information on the plate. Is there any truth to this?
Texas has done this. They also will ticket for no front plate. Usually local PD's don't care, but the State Troopers do. I went with a simple black frame that does not cover any plate info.I've heard rumors that certain states will ticket drivers if the plate bracket covers up information on the plate.
